Getting Started

GHS will be having classes for the 2023-2024 school year.

Please visit our Enrollment page for more information and how to enroll.

The following information applies to the 2023-2024 school year

We’re glad you are considering joining Grace Home Schoolers (GHS), also known as “Grace.”  Please read this page before filling out the membership and registration forms.  Grace is a support group, not an umbrella school.  We do not keep any records, nor do we assign credits or grades.  Additionally, we ask you to remember that we are composed completely of volunteers.

Grace Home Schoolers is overseen by a group of parents, called the Grace Home School Leadership Team. This team is responsible for overseeing all events and programs within GHS.  In order to participate in classes or graduation, you must become a member of GHS.  Both new and returning members who wish to join GHS for a given school year need to complete the GHS Membership Form found on the Enrollment Forms pageThis enables you to participate in all GHS activities (i.e. Fine Arts Night, Fairs, promotion nights and Graduation, picnics, etc.).  Not all activities are offered every year, as we provide those activities that we have volunteers willing to organize the activity.  Parent-led field trips may have additional costs. There are also additional costs for those who wish to participate in co-op classes offered.

All families who join GHS must read and agree to abide by the documents provided and include student behavior, dress code, and standards of conduct. These documents are found on our website and included with the membership and registration packet.

**Please download and read the Grace Home Schoolers Handbook**

Emails are also sent throughout the year with information pertaining to our group. This is our main form of communication.

Your obligation to the group is to serve at one (or more if you so choose!) of these GHS activities (Get Acquainted Picnic, Science Fair, Student Portrait Picture Day, Social Studies Fair, Testing, Fine Arts Night, Promotions, Graduation Ceremony/Reception, End of the Year Picnic, to include planning, set-up, clean-up, and working during the event, as needed).

Annual membership fees are as follows:

  • Returning members $155 per family, paid on or before May 31st
  • New Members, $175 per family, paid on or before May 31st
  • Late registration, $190 per family, if paid after May 31st
  • If you have a graduating senior an additional $125, paid on or before May 31st
  • If you would like a yearbook, an additional fee of $40 paid with registration

Grace Home Schoolers has an open enrollment year-round. Once we have processed your membership your student(s) will be eligible to participate in co-op classes. **Please note we do increase membership fees after May 31st.**

Co-op Classes

GHS offers classes for students in grades Kindergarten through 12th.  Classes meet weekly on Fridays, except the last Friday of each month, holidays, Christmas break, spring break, and Good Friday. Once a month we have a pizza day. This is an additional cost.

There is a separate cost to participate in classes in addition to your Grace membership.  Please remember that while we use the term “class” we are not a school, but rather provide enrichment for the education being directed by the parent.

In order to make our program run, we ask that one parent from each family volunteer 1 to 2 hours each Friday we are in session.  Returning members have the option to teach a one-hour class each co-op class day OR serve as a teacher’s helper, lunch monitor, cleaner, nursery worker, etc. each co-op class day for the duration of the school year.  New members must serve as a teacher’s helper, lunch monitor, cleaner, nursery worker, etc., each co-op class day for the duration of the school year.

We try to allow as many as we can for class registration, however, some classes have a limited number of students.
Priority enrollment is given to students of leaders, teachers, then members according to their length of membership.

To participate in classes, complete the GHS Registration Form found on the Enrollment Forms page.

June 30th is the deadline to enroll in classes.

Any member that fails to serve their event or misses more than 6 co-op class days MAY be asked to not return the following year.

Please use our Contact Form if you need to contact anyone in leadership, including membership.
